The Flock

In The Flock, you are never safe—only shifting between predator and prey. This asymmetrical multiplayer horror game demanded a soundscape that kept players on edge, heightening both the thrill of the hunt and the terror of being hunted. At Driftwood Audio, we designed an evolving sonic experience where tension is constant, and silence is never comforting.

Every footstep echoes differently depending on who you are in the moment. As a hunter, the world hums with anticipation—distant echoes, guttural breaths, and the faintest tremors of movement. But the moment the tables turn, the sound shifts. The environment closes in, heavy with dread, as unseen forces skitter just out of reach. We crafted every detail—from the unsettling distortion of creature vocalizations to the dynamic spatial audio that makes every shadow feel like it’s watching.

The music? A living, breathing entity, pulsing with unease. Dynamic shifts in tone and texture react to the gameplay, pulling players deeper into the nightmare.

With The Flock, we made fear something you can hear—a presence lurking just beneath the surface, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
