In 2023 Driftwood Audio started building their new headquarters in Rotterdam where the people of Driftwood Audio could do their work. The build finished early 2024. It consists of two stand-alone box-in-a-box workspaces that are acoustically isolated from the outside and one another and acoustically treated for an optimal recording and mixing environment, with the option to connect the spaces in terms of signal flow, enabling us to use one space for recording an ensemble while using the other space as a control room. The studios have daylight, airconditioning and active ventilation.
After having had workspaces in Utrecht, the centre of Rotterdam and at home during the pandemic, in 2023 we knew it was time to build ourselves new headquarters. It took an unobscurable amount of material and almost a whole year of building while sparsely working from the home studio. The result is something to be very proud of.
